MoonPaw AMA #1
The following are answers from an AMA conducted by the CryptoPros community on the 19th of November, 2021.
Can you briefly introduce yourself as well as MoonPaw?
My name is Prem Aghera and I, alongside my co-founder here today Liam Peeters, launched the MoonPaw project back in May 2021.
Our mission with MoonPaw was built primarily on the guiding principal of creating lasting impact on a cause we cared deeply about — wildlife conservation and animal welfare. In the early days we used the MoonPaw token’s 2% charity transaction fee to donate and partner with various charities ($65,000 USD); during this time we got to learn so much about how these charities operate and what difficulties and challenges they face. It was through this groundwork that we learned that here in Australia, 74% of the charitable workforce were unpaid volunteers and it’s worse in many more countries around the world. Given they weren’t receiving enough funding/donations to pay staff, the charities often struggled to carry out their mission. It was this realisation that led us to start working on a solution.
So thus MoonPaw was born, a project that leverages blockchain solutions to help charities grow their communities and raise funds for their cause!
We aim to achieve this by incentivising giving through the utility of NFT staking in entertainment (games, comics and more) with a long-term view to bring it all into one platform. Currently we service this mission, by minting these NFTs for large partnering charities of which our first drop is slated for early next year!
What strengths does MoonPaw have to compete with competitors?
The MoonPaw community is by far our biggest strength. They’ve ridden the highest highs and lowest lows with us because they really believe in this project. That gives us motivation to keep working hard to build a sustainable solution to the problem we’re trying to solve.
What are your significant achievements till now and what are your other plans for this year?
We have been fairly lucky to receive recognition for our charity work by the creator or Dogecoin, Billy Markus. We also have received some local news coverage for our work and were invited guest speakers at the Crypto World Summit (1000+) person event.
We have partnered with 5 charities so far and intend to start minting NFTs for our clients with a view to bring them onto our platform so they can leverage each other’s communities and grow in the crypto space together!
As for what is happening this year, we are actually releasing our VIP NFT Passes today so definitely go to our website moonpaw.cc to grab one of those! The passes entitle you to free merch, free NFTs from our upcoming MoonPaw NFT collection, access to exclusive content like our second episode of the MoonPaw comics and most importantly, a share of 15% of our future MoonPaw NFT sales!
We’re going to be dropping our first Charity Partner NFT Collection early next year as well so stay tuned for that! They have an audience of 500K+ and are nationally praised here in Australia so we recommend you stay tuned for that too.
What are the ways that MoonPaw generates profits/revenue to maintain your project and what is its revenue model ? How can it make benefit win-win to both investor and MoonPaw?
We currently do NFT minting as a service to our partnered charities which gives us access to their community to build our marketing up and also gives us enough revenue from the NFT sales to reward our VIP Pass holders and investors.
It can be said that Marketing is the key to the success of the project. So what marketing strategy does MoonPaw have to attract more users?
As mentioned above, we partner with large charities and release partner NFT projects with them. The NFTs are minted on our website so all of their community’s traffic is directed through our channels thus giving us more exposure. All of these NFTs will be part of our platform as well for utility which will mean their user base will be part of our community!
Are there a plan to recruit people with blockchain experience to the MoonPaw team ?

Q4) What makes you feel confident about the survival & sustainable success of MoonPaw in the near future? While you build your project, do you take into account community feedback and demands?
Our community is the reason we are here today — their feedback has driven this project multiple times! The original MoonPaw project we designed is not the one you see today, we’ve learned along the way, adapted to trending markets, user and investor needs and listened to our charity partners who we have at the forefront of everything we do.
We’re confident we’ll be around for a long time because we already have seen the bad days and got through them. MoonPaw is still here today because it is a legitimate project with real life partnerships and a strong local presence. With our first NFT minting partnership now signed, we have the budget we need to go big with marketing and make sure we are here for many more years to come.
